Updated Keyword Tool: Out of Beta

Here’s an interesting announcement from the official Google Adwords blog, Inside Adwords. the keyword tool has gone out of its beta status. In doing so, they merged the 2 keyword tools, name the Keyword Tool and the Search-based Keyword Tool.

Although we can read a lot of blogs and articles questioning the accuracy of the data spewed out by this tool, it’s still good to know Google still has the intent of providing us tools to make the job easier. Google claims though that the have changed how the tool calculates the global monthly searches as well as the local monthly searches.

And they promised more features in the near future.

Primal: Semantically Driven Keyword Research

Here’s a really good post from Ann Smarty of Search Engine Journal. She is talking about another player in the keyword research world. The program looks very promising especially that it offers semantically related keywords and phrases. This could be usefully when writing an article or when setting up a PPC campaign. Maybe of more use to some people.
