WordPress Plugins

It’s been 2 years since I started using WordPress. In the process, I have used a number of plug-ins, some I’m still using today while others I discarded right away. Been wanting to make a list of those plugins but never got a chance to compile one. Luckily I stumbles on an article about WordPress plugins.

I installed an SEO plug-in for WordPress called All-in-One SEO. This plug-in automatically optimizes the titles for search engines  and generates META tags automatically. The good thing with this is that you can manually override the generated tags and descriptions.

A must use plug-in.

I installed the Google XML Sitemap for Wordpress and I like what it’s doing to my blog. I manually checked the sitemap the plug-in generated and it seems everything is OK. The good thing with this plug-in is that it re-generates the sitemap everytime you make a new post.

I’ve been looking for an analytic plug-in for WordPress this past few days. I stumbled upon a plugin called Statpress, which seems good to me, so I downloaded and installed. So far it’s doing great, aside from it’s eating up database space (way better than Firestats though).

I recently installed Wordpress Multiple User Engine, and so far it’s going fine. The thing I love about WP-MU is that you only have to set-up all extensions/plugins once and it will be available to all the blogs registered in the WP-MU blog.
